WHY WE DO IT
The Milling and Baking industry has always operated their facilities very lean. Still, in the past, there were trained dedicated teams focused on maintenance and servicing to help keep the wheels turning. Now, in today’s world, being a manager, supervisor, or technician means you are responsible for these tasks in addition to maintaining high yields with steady production.
There is a wide range of manufacturers and equipment. Creating and maintaining a consistent maintenance program while working with a limited workforce is the new normal. This begs the question: “How can you be expected to do more with less?”
Milling & Baking Solutions LLC recognizes this need and is here to help. Our experienced technicians will work closely with your team to help set priorities, identify gaps, develop action plans, train, and even perform the required services. Milling and Baking Solutions technicians have years of milling and baking industry experience and have a wealth of knowledge. We have worked on equipment new and old- supporting, cleaning, tempering, grinding, sifting, conveying, mixing, and packaging. If it’s in a mill or bakery, we’re here to help.

MEET OUR LEADERS
Matthew Fanshier: Director of Technical Solutions
Matt grew up on a farm in South Central Kansas, where he found his passion for agriculture. He attended Kansas State University and majored in Milling Science and Management, with minors in Cereal Chemistry and Business Management. During college, he completed internships for Cereal Foods Processing/ Graincraft, and Bay State Milling Company. After college, Matt went to work for Bay state Milling company as a miller. He then transitioned to Conagra Foods as a head miller and managed the complete facility from wheat receiving to flour load out systems. Matt moved with Conagra to Omaha, NE. He was in charge of the operation of two local flour milling facilities, totaling roughly 1.5 million/lbs daily capacity.
Matt further expanded his industry knowledge by working with Great Western Manufacturing- a sifter manufacturing company, as a Technical Sales Engineer, where he serviced customers with system designs, flows, and provided technical support for a multitude of product lines, including pet food, plastics, molding starches, activated carbon, specialty grains and flour across many industries. In his free time, Matt loves woodworking, watching a good movie, and hanging out with the kids!
Julie Fanshier- President of Operations
Julie grew up in rural Kansas and went on to attend Kansas State University, graduating with a Bachelors in Business Administration and minors in Communication and Economics. She is a customer focused leader, and is dedicated to partnering with our customers to provide support for their needs and requests from our organization. In her spare time, Julie enjoys doing anything outdoors- especially at the lake, traveling, spending time with the kids, and watching the sunset!
Matt and Julie met in college, and moved all over the country within the milling industry early in their relationship growing in their careers. Julie’s passion is in business, building relationships, and helping people, and Matt’s is milling operations, solving technical issues, and getting his hands dirty- They combined those passions and strengths, and made the decision to create Milling & Baking Solutions LLC to service the companies in the milling and baking industries nationwide that may need additional solutions, inspections, training, design, preventative maintenance, and installation support. Together, Matt and Julie are determined to make a positive difference in the industry, through their knowledge and service they provide to their customers.
